(Re)Delegation Cap and 2nd Node

The ImpactStaking pool has been live for only a day, and to our amazement we reached our Delegation Cap in less than 24 hours! We are happily surprised by the great interest in our pool and our cause, and want to kindly thank each and everyone who stakes EGLD with us, for his or her support!

Right now nearly 5500 EGLD has been staked with us. This amount is comprised by our initial amount (2500 EGLD) and all EGLD staked by you, the community (3000 EGLD). At the moment we have set our Delegation Cap at 5500 EGLD. This is because the higher the amount of EGLD staked per node, the lower the APR. Thus by setting a Delegation Cap, we are protecting our APR.

Since it is our intention to maintain a higher APR and because we want to be able to take on more delegators in the future, we have decided today to add a 2nd node to the pool! The node is already up and running, and visible here. However, it is currently in the queue to become a Validator node. Unfortunately, due to the large number of nodes queued to become Validators, we do not know exactly when our 2nd node becomes an active Validator. Therefore we have decided to only increase our Delegation Cap after our 2nd node becomes active. This is done in order to protect the APR for our current users, instead of choosing short term growth and allowing APR to fall. Furthermore, we decided to allow our users to redelegate their rewards with us, even after our Delegation Cap is reached. We expect redelegation of rewards will only have a minimal impact on APR and is much more convenient for our users, as they would otherwise have to manually delegate their funds to another staking provider.

Once our 2nd node is live we plan to set a new delegation cap, at 8000 EGLD. This would give a decent APR, and also gives us the possibility to add a 3th node to the pool in the future.

Our first node is currently waiting to become a validator by April 5th, when the maximum amount of validator nodes is increased from 2169 to 3200. Our validator is in line to become active on the 7th of April, so 1 epoch later, on the 8th of April, stakers will be able to start collecting rewards. We hope to donate our first trees (with help from #teamtrees) about a month after that, and are very excited to do so! Of course we will let you know once our first trees are donated :-)
